The APL story
The APL story begins in the Waikato in 1971, established by the Plaw family on Bellevue Road, Cambridge.
Ever since, our family-run business has proudly set the industry standard, becoming New Zealand’s largest manufacturer of aluminium windows and doors, and empowering our people to do the little things better every day.
We’ve always been future-focused, whether that means pioneering innovative window and door solutions like ThermalHeart+®, or, seeking more sustainable ways to operate our business and look after the environment. We partner with this country’s best engineers and architects to make tomorrow’s buildings possible, today.

Our network of over 70 independently-owned manufacturers works on a wide variety of residential and commercial projects, all over the country, and are the exclusive suppliers of APL products. These dedicated operators have decades of experience in our local environments and share our commitment to excellence and our spirit of innovation.
